Winning the prized best performance by a cast in a motion picture, Joel and Ethan Coen's “No Country for Old Men,” walked away with the SAG award Sunday night.
Also winning in connection with the film was Javier Bardem whoe won the best supporting male actor award for his role playing Anton Chigurh.
When Josh Brolin accepted the ensemble award for the show, he said he wanted to thank the Coen brothers who were "freaky little people" who had made "a freaky little movie."
Still, stealing a lot of thunder for the night was the opening of the awards ceremony, where "The Sopranos" in its last hurrah swept the awards in the television drama category.
James Gandolfini won for the best male actor in a drama series; Edie Falco for the best female actor in a drama series; and the whole cast won for the best cast in a TV drama series.
Gandolfini was brief in his response saying, "It's been 10 years. It's an honor. That's all I can say."
Edie Falco was much more demonstrative, as she commented, "I have fallen in love with these people and I don't know how you walk away from that."
Charles Durning was given a standing ovation as he went up to receive his "Lifetime achievement award."
