The sparks have evidently flying on the set of "Four Christmases," between Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, and I don't mean love sparks.
Rather the two have been fighting because of their two very different ways of approaching work. Witherspoon is much more focused and serious, while Vaughn takes the more laid back, goofing around approach.
Another issue that had be rumored to have occurred lately is the battle over sex scene, which Witherspoon felt was "just too much.” After reports in the media came out, evidently Vaughn has come to an agreement with Reese that there won't be a sex scene in the show.
Vaughn, who is one of the producers on the project, axed it from the film.
I'm actually glad that Reese stuck to her guns here, and Vince backed her up. There's no reason why an actor or actress should have to perform a scene they're uncomfortable with.
With the battle over the scene, it may be possible it was added later on, after the contracts were signed. Otherwise it should have been dealt with at that time.
Or, all the battles being reported in the media could also be marketing fabrications to bring the film free publicity. Either way, it's getting a lot of publicity from the alleged conflicts between the two.

I'm not at all surprised that Vince Vaughn has a laid-back approach to his work...it comes across in all of his lovable looser characters.
