
Jane Austen fans will feel like they're in heaven, as PBS will be showcasing a three-month tribute to the author which inludes all six of the novels she completed, along with an additional drama about her life. The series will be featured on Masterpiece.
Not only will people get a look at the repeats of Pride and Prejudice, starring Colin Firth, as well as Emma, with Kate Beckinsale, but the four other books in the series - Persuasion, Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey, and Sense and Sensibility - are all new.
Reports are the fictionalized biography of Austen called "Miss Austen Regrets," is very well done, with Austen being played by Olivia Williams. The setting of the picture is the latter years of Austen's life.
The dates and order of Austen pictures:
Persuasion: Stars Sally Hawkins as Anne - Jan. 13.
Northanger Abbey: Stars Felicity Jones - Jan. 20.
Mansfield Park: Stars Billie Piper - Jan. 27.
Pride and Prejudice: Stars Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy - Feb. 10.
Emma: Kate Beckinsale in repeat performance - March 23.
Sense and Sensibility: A Two-part mini-series starring Hattie Morahan and Charity Wakefield as the Dashwood sisters - March 30.
