Sarah Jessica Parker has always been classy, and her taste for fashion unquestionable. With that in mind, her new wildly successful apparel line "Bitten" has really taken off. Even Oprah is showcasing her product.
In a brilliant move, Parker decided to go the route of developing a line that the average female would be able to afford. What that does is create an extraordinary amount of good will, and keep her name in the mind of the public. That in itself is worth the effort, regardless of the financial success.
This is in contrast to the usual way celebrities develop their fashion lines, which mostly target the high-end market, and is unaffordable to the masses. Sarah Jessica Parker wisely didn't take that route.
Parker's byline for the company is: “It is every woman’s inalienable right to have a pulled-together, stylish, confident wardrobe with money left over to live.” She backs up that motto by having the vast majority of her collection coming in at $20 and under.
Not only is she making a lot of women happy, as the video below shows, but it will keep her name out there in the public eye, at a time when many actresses begin to fade. Sarah Jessica Parker isn't going to have that problem It's a really smart move by her to do things this way.
Her collection is available exclusively at Steve and Barry's retail stores.
