After a long bout with lung cancer, actress Suzanne Pleshette died Saturday in Los Angeles at the age of 70. She was best known for playing the role of Emily Hartley on "The Bob Newhart Show."
According to Pleshette's attorney Robert Finkelstein, she died Saturday night from respiratory failure at her home.

She also had a role in "The Bird" by Alfred Hitchcock, where she ended up being one of the victims of the flocking hoard.
