The screening of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" has created a lot of buzz, as most that have seen it agree it could be a blockbuster for Fox (NWS-A).
Director David Nutter seems to have done everything right in the series' premiere, as it gets you immediately engaged and it grabs you and takes you along for the ride. There is always a sense of urgency in the show that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
As a matter of fact, the premiere was done so well that it makes you wonder if it was done so good that it had nowhere to go. Yet a release of the second show for screening seems to contradict that notion, as responses to that have also been mainly positive.
The show is set to be a continuation of "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." What's interesting in the story, is John Conner (played by Thomas Dekker), is known to the person that is creating the cyborgs, which will eventually attempt to take over mankind.
One thing that hasn't changed is of course the usual sending back in time of a cyborg in an attempt to kill John before he becomes a threat to the machines and his plans for them.
John's mom Sarah Conner (played by Lena Headey) knows about all this and is dedicated to keeping her son alive to reach that day.
For the Sarah and John, they will also continue to have their own personal cyborg for protection, this time as a female played by Summer Glau. Also with a major role in the series is Richard T. Jones, who plays an FBI agent pursuing Sarah for murder
The series premiere is Sunday at 8 p.m. on Fox, and will then shift to its regular time slot at 9 p.m. Mondays.
