
According to Paramount Pictures (VIA-B) and Nickelodeon Movies, they're going to move the date of the release of "The Spiderwick Chronicles" up to February 14.
The film is based on the popular fantasy book series "The Spiderwick Chronicles," by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black.
Touted as a family adventure, it tells the story of the Grace family when they move to a house owned by their great, great uncle Arthur Spiderwick.

One of the children, Jared, is suspected of mysterious happenings around the house until his siblings discover that their uncle's estate is inhabited by fantastic creatures. It has the feel of "The Chronicles of Narnia," but seems a little darker than that.Along with Nick Nolte, others starring the film are Mary-Louise Parker, Joan Plowright, Freddie Highmore and David Strathairn. Voices parts are Martin Short and Seth Rogen.
The film is scripted by Karey Kirkpatrick, David Berenbaum and John Sayles, with Mark Waters helming it.
Executive producers are Holly Black, Tony DiTerlizzi and Julia Pistor. The film is rated PG.
