The attempt to make the revelation that Miley Cyrus uses a body double to transition between numbers into an issue is about the stupidest things I've ever heard of.

Her public relations firm PMK, spoke of the incident saying, "To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of 'We Got the Party' incorporating a body double for Miley."

Anyone with a connection to the show business and touring industry knows this type of action is taken all the time.

As Gary Bongiovanni, editor-in-chief of Pollstar, the trade publication that tracks tours said, "This tour is such a phenomenon everybody is trying to find some angle to write about it."

Some people that evidently need therapy of some sort said using a body double is being fake. Now you know why they need help.

There are two things I think are connected to this. The first one was already mentioned by Bongiovanni, who revealed the popularity of the show makes people look for something interesting to say in order to get attention.

Second, I think the overreaction is also because Miley has a wholesome message and lifestyle, and certain elements can't live with that, so they attempt to find anything to make her look bad. I tend to think that more than anything is the reason behind this non-story.
