The interest is starting to build with fans looking everywhere for any snippet of information on the upcoming 4th and final season of the Battlestar Galactica series.
Starting Things off on March 28
"The SciFi Channel has ordered two Battlestar specials to precede the airing of "He That Believeth In Me". These specials, Battlestar Galactica: Revisited and Battlestar Galactica: The Phenomenon, are each half an hour in length and will air back-to-back on March 28, 2008, starting at 10/9 P.M. central."
Much of the two shows will catch people up on what happened before, and give some insight into the characters before the new season starts. It's not known yet how long it will take to get the final ten shows after those listed below on the air. It looks like production will begin on them sometime in March.
List of first ten Battlestar Galactica shows in Season 4
1. “He That Believeth in Me” - David Weddle and Bradley Thompson
2. "Six of One" - Michael Angeli
3. “The Ties That Bind” - Michael Taylor
4. "Escape Velocity" - Jane Espenson
5. "The Road Less Travelled " - Mark Verheiden
6. “Faith” - Seamus Kevin Fahey
7. "Guess What's Coming to Dinner" - Michael Angeli
8. "Sine Qua Non" - Michael Taylor
9. "The Hub" - Jane Espenson
10. "Revelations” - Bradley Thompson and David Weddle
Some spoilers about above shows
“The Ties That Bind," according to Michael Taylor, will end up with one of the characters exiting the show. Michael Taylor said it should be a surprise as to who it is and how it happens.
In "Faith," the president of the colonies, Laura Roslin, will have her cancer return.
The 8th episode, "Sine Qua Non,” goes another route, and has a former character return. While I'm not sure, my guess would be it is the character played by Lucy Lawless, who said her character will be returning for several episodes in the middle of the final season.
Several other story lines that will be followed and eventually cleared up, is the search for earth of course, the purpose and fate of Sharon and Helo's baby, and who the final Cylon will be revealed as.
The storyline promises to offer an emotional roller coaster and the bringing together of all the loose threads. I can't wait to watch it. Hopefully the final ten episodes won't take too long to air.
