"Dancing with the Stars" has named the participants in this seasons' dance contest. The most notable contestant this year is wife of Elvis Presley, Priscilla. She'll join eleven others in the dance contest starting with a live performance on March 17 on ABC (NYSE:DIS), and the actual competition launching on March 26..
Priscilla stated her reason for joining the show on "Good Morning America" saying, "I'm dancing because I, first of all, love dancing. There's a little dancing in all of us." She added she could "go for the toning" as well.
Presley says she has had some dance training in the past, having taken jazz and some ballet.
She will be partnered with Louis Van Amstel, who says the two have already started practicing together, and he is very impressed with her performance.
Other women competing in the show will be actresses Shannon Elizabeth, Marissa Jareet Winokur and Marlee Matlin, and two sports stars: tennis player Monica Seles and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, an Olympic gold medalist.
On the men's side, contestants are actors Steve Guttenberg and Chrisian de la Fuente. Former co-host of "The Man Show" Adam Carolla will also participate, along with singer Mario and magician and entertainer Penn Jillette. The lone sports star for the men this year will be Jason Taylor, defensive end of the Miami Dolphins.
