I think she did.
Why would Lindsay Lohan and those "guiding" her career get her into a nude photo shoot (caution - nude photos) paying tribute to Marilyn Monroe; recreating her last photo shoot before dying of a drug overdose? It doesn't make any sense to me.
Here's a young women battling addictions, and she's now glorifying someone who dies from an overdose? It doesn't compute.
Not only are the pictures poorly done - in my estimation - as seen below, but having a troubled young celebrity go this route after a long battle with addiction and personal problems irresponsible.
She doesn't need to be nude in magazines. Why in the world would she want to get this type of attention at this time of her troubled life? She's nowhere near through with her battles, and this does nothing to help her in her career or personal growth. It just makes her and her handlers look stupid and selfish.
She'll get another moment of fame out of this, but what will it cost her in the long run? This will hurt rather than help her. She needs to surround herself with better people.
Part of the gimmick was to have Bert Stern, the photographer from the original Monroe shoot in 1962, do the photos of Lohan as well.
When you consider Marilyn Monroe spent time in a psychiatric ward, had her drug and drinking problems, and was fired from the set of "Something's Got to Give," you'd think Lohan would have better role models to follow.
Lohan is evidently becoming obsessed with Monroe, as she's also bought an apartment Monroe used to live in. Hopefully she's not trying to emulate the pathetic, sad life Marilyn Monroe lived and died.
