
The cast of "Wolverine" continues to grow, as interesting characters and actors are continually being added to the mix. The latest additions are Dominic Monaghan, who played a hobbit in "Lord of the Rings," and also on "Lost." Newcomer Daniel Henney has also been added to the cast, while Will.i.am was added a little earlier last week, and is a member of Black Eyed Peas.
Dominic Monaghan will play the role of Barnell Bohusk, otherwise known as the mutant "Beak." Henny will assume the role of David North AKA Agent Zero, who has mutant-enhanced marksman abilities. Will.i.am takes on the part of John Wraith, who has the ability to teleport.
Per the superhero purveyor, Beak wears an advanced body suit that gives him the ability to fly, superhuman strength, enhanced protection and energy blasts.

He is an expert tracker, marksman and was a fellow guinea pig for the Canadian Weapon X program.
A blue-haired member of the Weapon X program and an expert tracker with lethal, mutation-enhanced marksman skills. Per Marvel's bio, he is able to absorb the energy of any impact without injury, but must release the energy he absorbs back out through his fingertips.

A mutant with the power to teleport and was also a test subject of the "Weapon X" program. AKA Kestrel, served as the team's intelligence man and extractor.

Two More Mutants Join “Wolverine”
With this latest film Hugh Jackman is reprising the character of Wolverine/Logan for the fourth time. He is also serving as one of the movie’s producers and thus has had more input into the story’s development as well as a hand in selecting its director, Gavin Hood. 20th Century Fox is hoping that its “Wolverine” movie will be just as successful as the three earlier “X-Men” flicks which combined have made over half a billion dollars domestic at the box office.
Since his addition to the X-Men roster in 1975 Wolverine has remained one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Comics pantheon of heroes. Presently he is not just a member of the X-Men but also of the Avengers and has his own solo monthly book.

Monaghan's casting comes just days after Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am announced he'd be taking part in the sci-fi action prequel. The hip-hop star/producer is still coming to terms with the role. He tells MTV News, "That's cool! I don't mean to toot my own flute, but toot-a-toot-toot!" He will play teleporting mutant John Wraith, aka Kestrel, in the new film.
Will.i.am admits he was stunned to get the part after arguing with the casting director in the middle of his audition: "They asked me if I knew about X-Men. I was like, 'Pssh, I know X-Men.' "They were like, 'Yeah, you know, you're gonna play a teleporter.' And I was like, 'You mean like Night Crawler?' 'Night Crawler wasn't a teleporter.' 'Yes he was a teleporter! The dude was a teleporter! He would be on the walls, and he was in the presidential office disappearing and people couldn't really hit him. He was like, disappearing, poof poof.' "I was like, 'Yo, I'm telling you, homey.' I'm a fan of X-Men."
'Lost' Rocker Joins 'Wolverine' Prequel
"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" has already begun shooting in New Zealand, with additional production in Australia and New Orleans scheduled before a May 1, 2009 worldwide release.
Monaghan just signed on to play the lead in the psychological thriller "Pet" from MGM. Merry in the "Lord of the Rings" films, he'll next be seen in the zombie film "I Sell the Dead," opposite Ron Perlman.
