If early estimates hold up, the latest Grammy Awards show will be the third least watched show in its history on television, with only 17.5 million tuning in, according to Nielsen Media Research.
That's down from the approximate 20 million watching last year, and a little up from the worst year even in 2006, which was only able to draw 17 million viewers.
Winning the top prize for album of the year was Herbie Hancock, for his tribute to Joni Mitchell, "River: The Joni Letters." It is only the second time in Grammy history a jazz album has won, and the first time in 43 years.
While Amy Winehouse wone five awards, it didn't come without controversy, as Natalie Cole blasted those who rewarded her "bad behavior."
"I can't believe I've won five awards," Winehouse said, whose husband is in jail at this time.
Kanye West was obviously disappointed in not winning the album of the year again, but this time he pretty much kept his thoughts to himself, although he did skip post-show rooms set up for interviews, and chose to pose for photos with his friends instead. West did win for rap album.
Taking some extra hardware home were Bruce Springsteen who won three Grammys, and also Chaka Khan who took home two.
