The Miami Dophins remain the only undefeated team throughout the regular and post-season games, as the New York Giants upset the New England Patriots to become the Super Bowl champs.
Eli Manning found Plaxico Burress in the end zone with 35 seconds left in the game to shatter the New England Patriot's dreams of enjoying the greatest season ever. It's the first time in over a year the Patriots have lost a game.
While the heroics went to the offense, the New York defense is probably more the reason the overall game went to the Giants. They kept them in the game by sacking Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady five times, and pressured to hurry his throws at least a dozen more.
On the other side of the ball, the Patriots defense wasn't able to stop the final 83-yard Giant drive, which culminated in the winning touchdown.
While the Patriots did become the second team in history to complete a regular season undefeated, it's small consolation, as they'll now go down has suffered one of the greatest upsets by a team nobody really expected to win.
The final score of the game was 17-14. Congratulations Giants, it was an extraordinary achievement.
