After 36 million votes were cast, American Idol trimmed its roster down to the final 12 contestants, whose names you can see below.
The four to get booted in the order listed here were, Kady Malloy, 18, from Houston; Luke Menard, 29, from Crawfordsville, Ind.; Asia'h Epperson, 19, from Joplin, Mo.; and Danny Noriega, 18, from Azusa, Calif.
Next week th show will revert to being aired twice, and will contestants will be allowed to legally use Beatles songs for the first time in the history of the show.
I don't know if including controversial past activities is a good measure, but those that have had their share on Idol this year, are all still in the running for the recording deal. Those I'm thinking of are David Hernandez, Amanda Overmyer, Kristy Lee Cook and Carly Smithson.
