
Bai Ling, who was caught shoplifting at Los Angeles International Airport for stealing two magazines and some batteries, ended up pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace, after her lawyers had the original charge of petty theft dropped. It's suggested it may have affected her immigration status if the petty theft charges had remained.
Ling made the ridiculous claim that a relationship breakup was the cause for her stealing the goods.
She was ordered to pay a $200 fine, along with other penalties which reached close to $700, said E! News citing Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the L.A. Attorney's Office.
At the time of her arrest, Ling was traveling to New Mexico to shoot a part in a film by Taylor Hackford called "Love Ranch," where she plays the part of a prostitute in a brothel in Nevada.
