An announcement by the William Morris Agency this week revealed that presidential hopeful Fred Thompson has signed back on to continue with his acting career.
Thompson has always been good acting material to play significant authority roles, as he's proved in "Die Hard II" and "Law & Order," where he played the role of district attorney Arthur Branch.
The run by Thompson for president really never seemed to get off the ground, even though he did participate in a couple debates. He seemed clueless and didn't have much of a team around him that knew where to take him and how.
He dropped out of the race on January 22.
Thompson served in the U.S. senate from 1994 through 2003, representing Tennessee.
His fans will be glad to have him back in the roles they've come to like seeing him in.
