The choice by populur singer Kelly Clarkson to not live the celebrity lifestyle, seems to be keeping her grounded, and for the most part unconcerned about the failure of her last album, and the debacle following having to publicly back out of a series of arena concerts because of poor planning from her managers and poor ticket sales, and repositioning them in smaller venues.
Even with all the negative publicity, Clarkson remains upbeat, and is working on her next album, which she says is scheduled to be released toward the end of 2008.
Clarkson said that she lives to please herself, and enjoys a life not focused on the "celebrity" side of things.
She lives on a 60-acre ranch in Texas, and doesn't follow the celbrity tabloid and gossip thing; whether it's on television or in magazines. Clarkson adds that she really has created a bubble around herself and lives and stays within that.
Her "bubble" is doing a lot of reading, while not allowing herself to get a big head or get depressed from the ups and down of her profession.
Clarkson is the most happy she says, when she's writing and singing songs.
The first and most famous graduate of the American Idol show, Clarkson was on a roll with her first two highly successful albums, before "My December" tanked, being the opposite of the more upbeat albums that drove her success.
Even so, Clarkson said she's really encouraged from the response fans have given her at her live performances.
With the very public humilation resulting from the need to drop her tour because of lack of interest by fans, it's really good to see Kelly bounce back, and not take herself too seriously. Her attitude and obvious inner strength is a good sign that she has a long career and bright future ahead of her.
Clarkson is now on a tour in Australia, where she is has a large fan base. She is performing with Mandy Moore and Sean Kingston.
