Actor Patrick Swayze, who had memorable roles in movies like "Ghost" and "Dirty Dancing," has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, is said to have only about five weeks to live, according to a report in the National Enquirer. The diagnosis is said to have come sometime in late January.
At the same time, some that have seen the actor recently said he seems to be doing pretty well, and they didn't know he was even sick.
"Patrick has been at rehearsals for a new cheerleading movie at Century City studio frequently lately, and he definitely does not look like he has 5 more weeks of life left…i'm not sure of his medical condition(s), but if he is gravely ill, he is hiding it very well," a source said.
The 55-year-old actor has evidently been flying their private plane to Stanford University's cancer center in Palo Alto for treatment, but the doctors are no longer confident that the radical chemotherapy will do him any good.
The actor has lost 20 pounds during the time of his illness.
