Citing a Carat survey, eMarketer reported that most TV viewers are getting ready to resume watching their favorite TV fare when it's offered.
Of those responding to the survey, 62 percent said they will come back to watching their favorite TV shows this fall when they return to the schedule. Another 55 percent said when they return in the fall or winter they will continue to watch their favorite programs.
When asked how much TV they are watching now in contrast to before the writers strike, 82 percent said they're watching about the same, while 9 percent said they're watching more than before the strike.
Other findings were 5 percent of those responding said they won't return to their favorite shows, while another 10 percent said they'll start watching TV on the Web instead.
Carat feels even though only 10 percent said they'll use the Internet to watch TV, they think the percentages will be more than that.
