The popular actor of the equally popular High School Musical franchise, Zac Efron, says he has no interest in the Hollywood clubbing scene. Who can blame him when he has all the publicity he needs without acting like an idiot to get attention like some of those we don't need to name.
Efron said that he doesn't really think about it or have to a decision, it's just not part of his way of life.
He says, "I don't find myself drawn to that scene. I think acting is a tradition that far pre-dates celebrity and, today, the two are just meshing. It's not even that I've made a conscious decision not to party.
"I don't think clubbing is a choice you make. You can have fun with friends without part of that scene."
It's good to see that not everyone is going through personal destruction just so they can be seen on the big screen or TV.
There have been rumblings from other actors in a similar vein, where it's not the celebrity factor that draws them to acting, it's that they consider it a craft and job, and enter it with that attitude.
Those are the actors who have longevity and impact, not the quick rise to the top and then endless fall into the abyss so many have partaken of, and then become the fodder of the gossip columnists.
