Mindy McCready is most known in the music world for her No. 1 hit single in 1996 called "Guys Do It All the Time." She has now become mostly gossip column fodder as she has been arrested and in and out of jail over the last several years.
A report in the New York Daily News said that Roger Clemens had a relationship with McCready since she was 15 years old.
Clemens' lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said that Clemens admits to it, but McCready was considered a family friend, and their was nothing sexual in the friendship.
"He flatly denies having had any kind of an inappropriate relationship with her," Hardin said. "He's considered her a close family friend. ... He has never had a sexual relationship with her."
That contradicts the New York Daily News article which cited several sources saying it was a romantic relationship; more than a family friendship.
When Clemens first met McCready, he was 28 and a married father of two.
The article also asserts Clemens sent cash to McCready in order to help her out with legal problems.
Lawyers for the Clemens' personal trainer, Brian McNamee, say if this is true, it could be detrimental to the case Clemens filed against McNamee for defamation in relationship to using performance-enhancing substances. McNamee claims he has seen Clemens use the drug.

McCready to me seem completely not such as her described in newspapers, but there is it not so.
