Theresa Wise
Theresa Wise has been seduced by the Mouse, and has left Accenture to take on the role of "senior vice-president of corporate strategy and business development across the EMEA region" for the Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS). The EMEA region includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Wise will head up aspects of corporate strategy for Disney in the region, including planning, development and acquisitions, working with the rest of the Disney divisions.
She will report directly to Kevin Mayer and Andy Bird, while being based in London.
Anna Woo
Disney chose to promote from within for their next Vice President, Business Operations and Finance, Disney Channel and Disney-ABC International Television, Asia Pacific, (who thinks up these titles?) as they promoted Anna Woo to take responsibility for the region.
Woo will be responsible for "commercial strategies, business operations and financial planning for all of The Walt Disney Company's television business in the region."
Based in Hong Kong, Woo will report to Jewell Engstrom and Robert Gilby.
These moves are definitely in response to the slowing domestic market by Disney, and an obvious strategy of looking to international markets for growth.
