I'm off topic on this post, but it'll be worth it if you're an American and want to find out if you're owed money.

An amazing one in eight Americans are owed money, and there are a couple of places on the Internet you can find out in relatively short time whether you're one of them.

One site set up as a national database called Missingmoney.com, is free, and all you have to do is enter some quick information and click a button and you'll know if you'll be getting some cash.

The IRS also may owe you money, as in just 2006 alone they have $100 million in refunds waiting to be claimed. In both these cases the average amount owed is between $800 to $1,000. Why let it just sit there when you can find out in a few short minutes?
