
The woman who ran the prostitution ring that Navy hooker Lt. Cmdr. Rebecca Dickinson partook in, was found guilty be a jury today of running a prostitution ring. Deborah Jeane Palfrey tried to pass of the hooker service as a "sexual fantasy service."
The jury didn't believer her, and found her guilty of four felony counts or racketeering, money laundering, and two counts of using mail for illegal purposes.
Palfrey, who is 52, claims she had no idea the escorts she provided were having sexual relations with the clients. She expected people to believe that while running the service from 1993 to 2006.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 24, and Palfrey could face a prison term up to 55 years.
The prosecutions request to hold Palfrey until the sentencing date was rejected by U.S. District Court Judge James Robertson.
