Reese Witherspoon will be part of the highly successful "Idol Give Back" special, where she will be seen visiting a New Orleans school for children at risk.
Witherspoon has helped out before in New Orleans, as she was there to help launch the first Freedom School in the city in 2006.
Citing an ABC News interview, US Magazine quoted Witherspoon talking about the initiative saying, "Once you have children in your life, you can no longer close your eyes to people... who are in a similar situation."
The "Idol Gives Back" special will air on April 9, and along with Witherspoon will feature Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Brad Pitt and Robin Williams.
All of this is for a great cause as the proceeds, which reached a hefty 75 million last year, went to aid the fight on poverty.
