For the second time in less than a year, country music singer Chris Cagle was arrested for assault, this time in a drunken fight with his girlfriend Jennifer Tant. The two were arrested and held for a mandatory 12-hours in jail before being allowed to post $1,500 bonds.
This follows an assault charge Cagle was charged with form an incident in Tucson, Arizona, where Cagle will stand trial on September 23 for allegedly assaulting Mark Berry after he performed a benefit concert in the city. He evidently punched Barry in the face when Barry's girlfriend verbally abused Cagle. The charge there is for a misdemeanor assault.
The current charges for Cagle and his girlfriend are for misdemeanor domestic assault.
Since this happened early Wednesday, and both were intoxicated, it sounds like they have some drinking issues to take care of, as well as anger.
