Brea Grant will play the part of "Speedster" on Heroes during the next season, as the series just got started back into production last week. Grant played the role of a love interest of Landry in Friday Night Lights named Jean.
Although I've heard more than one name for the character Grant will play, it seems it will be Daphne.
Her character will have supersonic speed, and will operate at three different speed levels. She will evidently leave a wake behind her as she travels in the show.
Speedster will be the enemy of the Heroes, but especially Hiro, who is a time traveler, as well as his sidekick Ando.
While Grant doesn't know much about her character, she did say "I'm stealing a secret that's been kept in Hiro's family for a long time that he's just now found. He stops time right as I grab it, but in that second it took him to grab it, I almost make it out of the office."
Season three is called "Villains," and continues on directly from where it left off in the second season. Fans will get the answers to what happened to several of the characters throughout the season.
