The branding of Tiger Woods by golfing officials in the U.S. has paid off handsomely in numbers, as when Woods is a factor in the final rounds of the U.S. Open, viewership skyrockets; when he's not, they fall back to the flat numbers of the last 20 years.
With last years' numbers being the worst since 1992, and second-worst since 1987, tournament officials are hoping that Woods will be in contention in the latter rounds of the last day. But they didn't just leave things to chance, as they decided to pair some of the top players in groupings of four in the first two rounds, hoping that will drive more viewer interest.
It'll be interesting to see if this has any impact on the ratings for the first two days of the tournament.

Well here tournament has begun, we shall look that from this it to turn out.
