Ugly Betty will have to get a new onscreen boyfriend for next season, as her current love interest on the show, Christopher Gorham, has left after one season to star in "Harper's Island" for CBS (NYSE: CBS-A). Harper's Island is a horror drama.
I have to wonder about this move by Gorham. Most horror dramas don't have a long shelf life, and not that many actors have emerged from them to enhance their careers.
There's already an new actor cast for the part, as Val Emmich will take on the role of Betty's new beau.
It looks like the season-ending cliffhanger will have to be remade, as it centered around Betty having to make a decision whether to stay with Henry Grubstick, played by Gorham, or rival Gio, played by Freddy Rodriquez.
Both are probably now out of the picture, unless Gio remains a rival against the new character, which seems to not be part of the plot for the upcoming season.
That me this news has not so encouraged that!
