According to Fox News, former employee and White House press secretary Tony Snow died at 2 a.m. at Georgetown University Hospital of colon cancer. Snow was 53.
Snow was the first host for "Fox News Sunday," and worked the job from 1996 to 2003.
At the time Snow became press secretary, he was working for Fox News Channel and Fox News Radio. He replaced Scott McClellan in May 2006.
The reason he gave for leaving wasn't health issues, but the need to make more than the $168,000 paid for the government position. In April he was hired by CNN as a commentator.
On the death of Snow, President Bush said in a statement: "America has lost a devoted public servant and a man of character. It was a joy to watch Tony at the podium each day. He brought wit, grace, and a great love of country to his work."
Snow is survived by his wife Jill and three children, Robbie; and daughters, Kendall and Kristi.

This all not so is simple as it seems......
