With the amazing business acumen of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, it's hard to tell if the lifestyle of Mary-Kate is real or manufactured for the purpose of keeping them in the public eye, so they can continue to brand their company Dualstar.
The latest rumor from the gossip rag Star Magazine, is Mary-Kate has been on some type of party binge since the death of friend (and purported lover) Heath Ledger, who died of a drug overdose in January.
Allegedly Mary-Kate was in such bad shape when at an L.A. club, that she collapsed in the parking lot, and decided to go to a holistic health spa to dry out.
One unnamed source told Star, "Mary-Kate seriously needs to get to rehab, but she doesn't think she has a problem. She thinks she's young, hip and entitled to live her life as she sees fit. But it's affecting everything."
Following one recent night of clubbing in L.A., the twin was so out of it that she collapsed in a public parking lot and then spent a short time in a holistic health spa to detox. But that didn't slow her down, and insiders now fear she's out of control and needs more treatment — fast!
In a related story, Mary-Kate has evidently befriended model Jessica Stam, and Stam has been a good influence in helping her battle her health problems.
Again, with Mary-Kate evidently becoming the face of Dualstar, much of this could be an ongoing strategy to keep her name and persona in the public eye.
