Having branded themselves as the "drama" TV channel, TNT launches season two of one of its showcase dramas: "Saving Grace."
If you're a fan, you know last season ended with Grace having a gun to the head of a pedophile priest, played by Rene Auberjonois, who had abused her when she was younger.
The question for the show is how far they're going to take the dysfunctional Grace this year. They are probably battling between how self-destructive she's going to be, and how far the influence of an angel named Earl (Leon Rippy) will go.
It looks like they're going to show Grace as more of a tortured soul this year, continuing to deal with her demons, as well as being influenced by the angel to change her life.
Because it seems what engages fans is the lack of control with Grace, it would be surprising to see her completely change over, although it would be a feel-good type of turnaround.
That could happen sometime in the future if the show remains popular, but probably not until the final season.
According to TNT, this season Grace will continue to face and deal with the guilt she retains over the death of her sister in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing; a difficult time connected to her partner Ham, and a juicy secret her boss is hiding.
There will also be a special appearance by Amy Madigan sometime during the season.
The show premieres Monday on TNT at 10 p.m.
